Purpose of a Functional Fitness Assessment

To examine and identify which joints favor stability and which favor mobility. When joints lack appropriate levels of mobility, they often create compensation within the more stable joints. This can promote “dysfunctional movement” as people recruit existing faulty patterns to complete their desired patterns of movement.

Where Most Mistakes Occur

Most clients traditionally want to start their fitness training program toning, firming, or building muscle mass without having established appropriate anatomical posture or efficient joint movement.

Where a Fitness Trainer Can Help

To help you establish a restorative exercise program that addresses existing postural compensations, while gaining a deeper awareness of muscle mechanics and muscle movement patterns. Greater awareness is your best defense in preventing falls and injury. Your second line of defense is establishing a routine that addresses your own unique issues. The long-term consequences of neglecting your musculoskeletal needs can be very costly. Your body is your temple. Honor it appropriately by assessing what it needs, then take the necessary steps in its preventative maintenance.

All assessments are free with the purchase of personal training and will be administered prior to personal training programs.
